Paul Robinson - Head Coach


Paul joined our Club in February of 2000. He is currently the Assistant Director of Coaching for Boys Teams, for the DFW Tornados. He's been involved in soccer either as a player or coach since 1974. He played as a youth professional in England for teams such as Crystal Palace and Millwall F.C. He went on to play semipro for Dulwich Hamlet and Corinthian Casuals.

Paul has held coaching positions with several professional clubs, including Leyton Orient, Chelsea F.C., and most recently Millwall F.C. He worked in the FITC Program (Football in the Community), overseeing a staff of coaches responsible for organizing soccer within school systems, as well as identifying and coaching players for advancement into professional clubs. He was also the Director of Coaching for the Southeast Youth Academy of Millwall F.C. Paul has coached extensively throughout the USA and is the Head Coach for the DFW Tornados PDL team. Paul is a UEFA “A” Qualified coach. He passed his F.A. Advanced license and converted it to the UEFA “A” in 1999. He also holds a Texas “D” State license.

 
   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Brian Byrd - Assistant Coach


Brian joined our Club in July of 1996. He's been involved in soccer either as a player or coach since 1976. He came up through the local select soccer programs playing for various clubs, such as the Dallas Longhorns, Dallas Hornets and Dallas Titans. Brian played soccer for Mansfield High School and was voted First Team All-District and All-Region. He's played semipro for the Arlington Arrows and the Fort Worth Kicks.

Brian has coached for the Mansfield Mustangs, Sportif F.C. and has been a camp director for Techniques Soccer Camps. He was also an assistant coach at Fort Worth Country Day School and the Head Coach of the Grapevine High School varsity girls. Brian is currently the men’s assistant coach at the University of Dallas as well as the assistant coach for the DFW Tornados Men’s Semi-pro PDL team. He currently holds a Texas "D" State license and an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
John Sime – Goalkeeper and Assistant Coach

John joined our Club in March of 2008 as the Goalkeeping and Assistant Coach for our men’s semipro PDL team.  John has been involved in soccer since 1979 and was a trainee pro with Leeds United in England until 1984 when a serious injury ended his playing career.  

 

John began coaching with Dundee United, Hearts Livingston and Dunfermline F.C. in Scotland and was the Goalkeeping coach with The Scottish Football Association Regional Squad (east coast). In 1995 John started work with Coerver Coaching "The world’s number one soccer teaching method," and in 2006 helped produce Coerver's Goalkeeping DVD program worldwide. He was an assistant on Illinois ODP National Championship winning team in 2007 with the Goalkeeper winning the Golden Glove award for the tournament. John has moved into coaching education and certification where he instructed and certified "D" and "E" Licenses to coaches in Illinois. For the last 2 yrs he has instructed and certified coaches for the NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Licenses. John holds UEFA and USSF "B" National Licenses as well as USSF National Goalkeeping License and an NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping License.
